Privacy Policy
GunStoreAtlas is a free, read-only directory. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and nothing to log into. This page names every service on our pages that sets cookies or collects data about visits, and says what each one does. Last updated September 26, 2026.
What we collect from visitors
We never ask for your name or e-mail address, we do not run fingerprinting scripts, and we do not sell visitor data. Technical data about visits is collected by the tools listed below: Google Analytics, our own tap counter and, for advertising, Google AdSense.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to learn how many people visit,
which pages they read and how they found us. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies
(_ga and _ga_YW7S83NC0L) that tell one visit from
another. It records the pages you view, how long you stay, the website that referred
you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (country, region,
city), which Google derives from your IP address; Google Analytics 4 does not log or
store IP addresses. Google signals — the feature that links visits to signed-in Google
accounts across devices — is turned off. Visit-level data is kept for two months, the
shortest period Google Analytics offers; summary reports such as monthly page views
are kept longer.
Google processes this data as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. To opt out, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block cookies for this site in your browser settings.
Our tap counter
When you tap a phone number, open a map, ask for directions or follow a link to a business's website, your browser requests a 1×1 image from our server. The request says which of our sites you are on, what kind of tap it was and what kind of page it happened on (for example, a state or a city page). If you arrived through a tagged link — such as a link in an e-mail we sent to a listed business, or a badge a business placed on its own website — one more request is sent when the page opens, carrying that listing's ID, the tag and the name of the website you came from. There is no cookie and no visitor identifier, and our server does not store IP addresses with these counts. We use the totals to see which pages are actually useful.
Hosting and your device
This site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent) for security and abuse prevention, governed by the Cloudflare privacy policy. If you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your device and is never sent to us.
Advertising
Some pages may display ads served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet — see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info.
Business listings
The businesses listed on GunStoreAtlas are compiled from open geodata (Overture Maps Foundation, Foursquare OS Places, OpenStreetMap) and contain only public business information: name, address, phone and website. If you own a listed business and want your listing corrected or removed, email [email protected] — we process requests within a few days.
If you write to us, we use your address only to reply. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not share your address.
Business listings on this site
The listings themselves — business name, street address, phone number, website and opening hours — come from open geodata, chiefly the Overture Maps Foundation places dataset, which incorporates Foursquare OS Places and OpenStreetMap contributions. We normalise the records, remove duplicates and check details against the business's own website. Where an owner writes to us with a correction, we apply it and keep a record of what was changed and when.
We do not publish e-mail addresses of listed businesses, and we do not sell or license the contact details of the businesses in this directory.
Some listings name a person — a sole-trader notary or an owner-operator whose business carries their own name. That name appears only as it does in public business records and only in a business context.
Removing or correcting a listing
If you own or manage a listed business and want the entry corrected, updated or removed entirely, e-mail [email protected] from any address, or reply to a message you have received from us. Say what should change; no proof of ownership is required for a removal request. Corrections and removals are handled within a few working days, and a removal is permanent — the entry is excluded from future rebuilds, not merely hidden.
If you would rather not hear from us again, reply STOP to any of our e-mails and we will not write to you again.
Children
This site is a general-audience business directory and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
